Me talking about Vivziepop again, but.... I'm not here to rant this time, there's just something that's been on my mind for a while that I wanted to voice.
The last few times I talked about her or her shows, I voiced my concerns about how some of her haters and the extent they go to hate on her and talk badly about her is unhealthy..... I say this because of the fact that despite them disliking her so much, so many of her haters still seem to keep tabs on her and try to keep up with news related to her or her work, and it seems like they only do that just so they can use whatever current events are revolving around her just so they can continue to hate on her and find more reasons why they think she's a bad person..... Yes, I felt the need to talk about this because so many of these haters are complaining about her new Valentine's Day merch, literally acting as if she's condoning abuse or incest through said merch when any sane person should know that's not the case at all, that whatever your opinion on the Glam Sisters merch is, there's something called a separation between art and the artists.
And I want to be clear it's not all of them, I'm aware there are some people who simply dislike Vivziepop and her work and just don't associate with either and choose to move on with their lives. However, my point is that when it comes to some haters who hate her yet still choose to keep up with news about her just to hate on her more....... I'm sorry, that's just incredibly obsessive, and it's just not healthy to obsess over a real life person like this, especially if you obsessively hate them so much to the point you want to do all you can to ruin her career by saying all the negative things you have to say about her.
You know who else obsessed over people in real life and it led to horrible consequences? Let me give you a list here.
Mark David Chapman
Yolanda Saldivar
Robert John Bardo
Andrew Cunanan
Kevin Loibl
Nathan Gale
Humberto Munoz Castro
Nilokai Matrynov
What do they all have in common? They all obsessed with a famous person so much that they all one day went up to the source of their obsession and killed them. This doesn't happen all the time, but it still happens. Whether we're talking about Vivziepop or another famous person, there are people out there who obsess over a certain famous person, whether they admire them to an extreme level or hate them to an extreme level..... Either way, it can either lead to serious damage to their wellbeing, or it can lead to horrible consequences for the person they obsess with if they were to get into contact with them.
I'm not kidding guys, the way some haters obsess like this, and constantly nitpick whatever detail they can to try and use it as "proof" of what a horrible person Vivziepop is, I'm genuinely worried somewhere among the haters might be a small few who actually want to cause harm to her.
That's why whatever conventions she attends, I really hope the staff there has good security and makes sure to check people at the entrance, cause just like what happened to John Lennon, I'm genuinely worried if precautions aren't taken, someone could easily just go up to her and attack her.
Call me extreme for saying all of this, but I have heard horror stories of stuff like this happening at conventions..... No joke, there was one convention where an artist had their own booth, and a fan came up to them and gave them cookies..... but it turned out one or more of the cookies had needles in them. To my knowledge, the artist survived this attack, but allegedly from what I heard, the person who gave them the cookies did it all because of a ship that artist drew that they didn't like. If something like this happened at a convention, a place where people are supposed to have fun and come together to enjoy similar interests, who's to say it won't happen again? Who's to say it won't happen to Vivziepop, or the voice actors who work with her, or hell, ANYONE? I'm sorry, but some people are just mentally unwell enough to say the least that they would pull something like that and have no remorse about it. And the extent of how vocal a lot of Vivziepop's haters are and how they really seem to just want her to not make her art anymore, I'm genuinely worried there could be at least one person among the haters that actually would want to harm her. Obviously not all of them, I know they're not all that insane... But honestly you just never know what some people are capable of or what they'd be willing to do.
My point is, you're free to not like her or her work, but please think twice about what you post or how badly you want your followers to think a certain way about Vivziepop, please don't obsessively hate her so much..... Instead of trying to use her merch to assume she's a bad person, just don't interact with her at all if you really don't like her, and just carry on with things and people you actually like. And please, wherever you go, keep an eye out on the people around you, cause you never know if someone might be in danger or if someone else might be the danger that needs to be stopped before someone loses a loved one.
If Oshi No Ko, Perfect Blue or the third season of Aggretsuko aren't good portrayals of how toxic and insane some fans or haters can get, or the danger some celebrities can find themselves in, I don't know what is.
